Peer Review Process
Journal of Finance, Economics, and Business (JFEB) implements a rigorous double-blind peer review system to ensure the impartial evaluation of submitted manuscripts. Each article undergoes two review stages: Pre-Review and Substantive Review, conducted by experts in the field of economics.
The pre-review process is conducted by the editorial team to assess the manuscript’s alignment with the journal's focus and scope, as well as its adherence to the journal’s formatting and style guidelines. This stage typically takes 0-4 weeks.
Once an article passes the pre-review, it proceeds to the substantive review stage, where it is evaluated by at least two independent double-blind reviewers. These reviewers, selected on a rotating basis for each publication cycle, assess the manuscript based on four key criteria:
Academic Rigor – The coherence between research questions and methodologies.
Analytical Soundness – The appropriateness of the analysis and conclusions drawn.
Reference Accuracy – The completeness and correctness of citations.
Originality and Contribution – The uniqueness and added value to the field of economics.
The review process typically takes 0-10 weeks, depending on the reviewers’ assessments. If necessary, reviewers may request further revisions before making a final recommendation.
The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of an article rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on recommendations from the reviewers. Accepted articles then undergo an editing and layout process, which generally takes up to three months before publication.
JFEB employs Turnitin to ensure the originality of submitted manuscripts. Articles must have a similarity index of less than 25%.
